Josh lived with roommates his entire adult life until he got married at the age of 33. Coliving is much, much cheaper than staying in a hotel and is often compatible with shorter stays, which allows you to look for a place without feeling rushed, without draining your savings, and without needing to sign a longer-term lease.

Coliving comes in all shapes and sizes. Various coliving platforms are popping up all over the United States. While each aims to attract a different niche of clientele, they all offer a safer and more reliable alternative to what otherwise is a wild west of sketchy roommate-wanted ads that you’ll find all over the internet. Coliving platforms can target lower-income working-class folks, upwardly mobile young folks, senior citizens, and everything in between. You can rent out a bunk, sleep in a box, share a house, live in a hostel, or even stay and work remotely in luxurious, exotic locales

Coliving isn’t going anywhere. People have been sharing their living spaces for hundreds of years. The great news is that in addition to creating a more diverse and accessible ecosystem of living solutions, coliving can also be an extremely profitable investment strategy.
 

WHAT IS PADSPLIT?

PadSplit self-identifies as a market-driven solution to the affordable housing crisis. People stay in PadSplits for all of the same reasons that people choose to live with roommates in general, but typically, PadSplits are geared towards working-class individuals who need a safe, clean, and respectable place to live in areas where they otherwise would have difficulty affording it. Without PadSplit, they’d be forced into an impossible decision between an intractable commute and unemployment.
